Obama is still Jimmy Carter

In all the fuss over what Maliki meant, whether he favored Obama’s position and whether this is evidence of the accuracy of Obama’s views, two points are worth remembering. First, if Obama had his way, there would be no Maliki, it would be Saddam. Second, if Obama had his way, there would have been no “surge” to allow Maliki to consider the possibility of American troops departing. Obama remains a bad impression of Jimmy Carter.
