Back to blogging after being flattened by a nasty cold. Mazal is doing nicely, although she overly enjoys pouncing on my ankles in the morning. Our landlord will not allow us to keep the cat, and the house we are building will not be ready until the spring, so we are moving house in the interim. Put up with moving, or get rid of Mazal? Look below. Could you do it differently? (And yes, I know, the scratching post is too small. We have a bigger one on order.)

Your landlord allows a dog but not a kitten? Bad landlord. Sweet Mazal.

Seconded! That's heroic - but given how cute and wonderful Mazal looks to be, what else could you do?

Yep, I've been known to sell cars to pay the vet bills. I'd have never guessed I'd go that far for animals, but once they're in your life, they are there.

Calpundit was right! Politics be damned, anyone who would move rather than give up that kitten is truly a wonderful human being. Way to go, and I hope she grows up to be a cat as beautiful as she is a kitten.

15 years ago, I rescued a gorgeous silver-gray tiger kitten and moved promptly. Howard Nemerov, still handsome and playful, sits on the desk as I write this. Wishing long life and plenty of cat toys to Mazal.

Mazal is adorable, keep the kitten. But beware when you move, if you are allowed more cats, you will get more. They grow on you. I'm owned by four of them.
