Last week, I reported on the kitten we found and named Mazal (Hebrew for luck). That post generated more comments than anything else I have written, so I offer an update. Mazal has grown from 7 ounces to 10 ounces, and is feeding quite nicely. The dog has taken over many of the mothering duties, and seems quite happy to have the kitten around, as witness below. (The first picture includes my wife.)

Comments:
Look: kitten with a dog! Sorry. I'm just a sucker for kitten pictures.

Your dog is a clone of the best dog I ever lived with! Looks just like my old pup, Digby.

Mazal looks like he's growing well. I love your dog's look in the first picture-- I had that look the first time I saw constrained optimization in LINPRO ;0
I suggest a Mazal Fundraiser. We all know those Irish schools pay bupkes.

We found 2 kittens last year who were about 5 weeks old that got thrown out of a moving car. They are now a year old and were raised with our dog (who was a big pup at the time) and both have become incredibly attached to him.

The trouble with a kitten is that
eventually it becomes a cat
There is nothing more fun than kittens.

No self respecting dauschund would ever cavort with a cat. Never! Mine wouldn't anyway ;)
