Yesterday's Sunday Telegraph (registration required) had an interview with Sir Mike Jackson, the chief of the British military staff. Asked about unnamed retired generals opposed to the invasion, Jackson remarks:
They're perfectly entitled to their opinion but, of course, they are retired and therefore not fully informed.
Today, the Guardian's security editor, Richard Norton-Taylor, claims that the British security establishment (apparently sundry famous people) is against invasion, without bothering to mentioning any names other than Douglas Hurd, whose opposition to an invasion has been known for some time. He should read the Sunday papers.Posted by sjostrom on February 24, 2003 07:11 AM
