Given the attacks the Irish government has taken over its support for the Iraq war, this is also good news. According to the Independent:
The Irish Government formally acknowledged the State's failure to offer refuge to Jewish families later exterminated by the Nazis in an historic speech by Justice Minister Michael McDowell last night.
Both the State and Irish society failed the victims of the Holocaust during the Second World War by not heeding the pleas of the persecuted, failing to offer refuge when it was requested, and failing to confront those who justified prejudice and race-hatred, he said.

If memories serves correctly, Ireland did more (or less) than not admit Jewish Holocaust refugees. It helpfully sat out the war. It was "neutral," like our friends the Swedes. Thanks guys.
